Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Jay Collins Facts website (the “Site”), operated by or on behalf of Jay Collins, Republican, for Governor (the “Committee,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and shares information about visitors. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
- Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our analytics providers automatically collect technical and usage information, which may include your IP address, approximate location, browser type and settings, device and operating system information, referring and exit pages, the pages and links you view, scroll depth, time spent on the Site, and the dates and times of your visits.
- Campaign attribution data. We may collect marketing attribution parameters (such as “UTM” tags) and referral information contained in the URL or HTTP referrer when you arrive at the Site.
- Information stored on your device. The Site uses your browser’s session storage to hold a randomly generated session identifier and attribution data so that activity within a single browsing session can be measured. This information is cleared when you close your browser tab.
- Information you provide. The Site does not currently offer account registration. If you choose to contact us or submit information through any feature we may add, we will collect the information you provide.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site; to understand how visitors find and use the Site; to measure the performance and reach of the Committee’s communications; to support the Committee’s political, organizing, fundraising, get-out-the-vote, and advocacy activities; and to comply with applicable law.
3. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Site uses session storage and similar browser technologies as described above, and our service providers may use cookies or comparable technologies. You can block or delete these through your browser settings; disabling them may affect how the Site functions. Because there is no common industry standard for “Do Not Track” signals, the Site does not currently respond to them.
4. Analytics and Third-Party Services
We rely on third-party providers to host the Site and to provide analytics, which currently include:
- Vercel — website hosting and privacy-oriented web analytics;
- Turnout — behavioral analytics for the Committee, which receives events such as page views, scroll depth, session duration, attribution parameters, and form interactions;
- Google Fonts — delivery of web fonts, in connection with which Google may receive your IP address and request data.
These providers process information under their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.
5. How We Share Information
We may share information: with service providers and vendors who perform services for us (such as hosting and analytics); with the Committee and its consultants, vendors, and affiliated political organizations for the purposes described above; in connection with a merger, reorganization, or transfer of the Committee’s assets or operations; to comply with law, legal process, or governmental request, including campaign-finance reporting obligations; and to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Committee, our visitors, or others. We do not sell your personal information for money.
6. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Choices
You may limit data collection by adjusting your browser settings, clearing your browser storage, using privacy or content-blocking tools, or declining to interact with the Site.
9. Children’s Privacy
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
10. Third-Party Links
The Site contains links to third-party websites that we do not control. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted, and the “Last updated” date reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing Law
This Policy and your use of the Site are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
13. Contact
Questions about this Policy may be directed to the Committee through the contact information provided at jayforflorida.com.
