READ ALL THE FACTS on Jay Collins' legislative record

Verdict: GUILTY of getting things done.

Elected to the Florida Senate in 2022 — unseating an incumbent Democrat in Tampa's District 14 — Jay Collins didn't wait his turn. He chaired the Transportation Committee and served as Vice Chair of Military and Veterans Affairs, Space, and Domestic Security, authored and passed more than 55 bills, and secured over $120 million for the Tampa Bay region, Florida's first responders and veterans, and the state's premier schools. Among his laws: Veterans' Benefits Assistance (SB 910), which cleared both chambers unanimously before being signed in 2025. In August 2025, Governor Ron DeSantis appointed him Florida's 21st Lieutenant Governor — a vote of confidence that he's ready to lead on day one.
